Jennifer Tilly was conceived in Los Angeles on 16 September 1958, in extremely poor conditions. Her father worked in the automotive industry and her mother was a teacher at school and was an unreliable actor. Jennifer was the second child in a four-child family, was often at her mother's theater performance and extremely impressed. Jennifer's mother and father separated at age five. Jennifer was a part of her young life living in British Columbia after her mom moved there along with the other four children. Jennifer did not have an excellent education, despite being a talented child. Her time at Canadian schools resulted in her becoming the frequent target of bullies. When her enthusiasm for theatre diminished in high school she started participating in plays with her mother. She encouraged her kids to be passionate about the arts. Then, she took action.
